Still pink
My Mom is Australian. We used to get tins sent to us in America from her family. I wondered if the tube would be the same. It is! I seem to remember a different smell, but that was decades ago. Glad to have it back in the medicine chest!

Thars!
I am 80 years old. My mother used to have it in the bathroom medicine cabinet. I came in a beautiful gold tin container. I have always found it use for a myriad of skin problems. Very disappointed I cannot buy it locally in the original container. However, better the tube than nothing. Life is making compromises.

Reliable Old Friend
I can always rely on THARS dealing with minor wounds and infections. In our family we use it for all external body parts that are inflamed. We also use it and a preventive on new cuts and scratches. Just Love it!

The very best antiseptic cream
It is by far the best antiseptic cream on the market. Miss the fact that it’s no longer available in tins. We recommend it to everyone and it’s just the best cream available for cuts, scratches, sore spots around finger or toe nails. Its healing properties are second to none. Do hope it stays on the market because it’s the only antiseptic cream you need. An amazing product! Denise

I've used Thars for years and would be lost without it. However I am disappointed with the move to tubes. A tin in the vehicle, boat, saddlebag, first aid kit is impenetrable. So I feel the move to plastic tube is wrong..

Loved the tins, glad still here

Disappointing Experience
I ordered three tubes online on 18/03/2024, and looked forward to receiving my order. I received my order on 23/03/2024, only to find that all three boxes had expiry dates of April 2024. It was quite disappointing to be sold multiple tubes that were about to expire. I also did not receive a response to my email query regarding the too-soon expiry dates.
I haven’t used the items as they have now expired. Overall, it was unfortunately a disappointing experience and a waste of money.

Childhood memories
My mother started using Thars on me over 70 years ago, and no doubt used it on herself a lot longer than that as she died aged 95. I desperately guarded my battered metallic tube of Thars after leaving my round tin of it back in Australia. I thought I had lost access to it forever until I found it online. I was so thrilled to receive it the other week and so far have used it to relieve symptoms from a couple of tick bites (we live on a farm). Growing up, we used it on absolutely everything and will continue to do so again, now that I have replenished my supply. Personally, I don’t think any household should be without it. My own observations are that the current formula seems to be a bit smoother to apply whereas the older one seemed to be very thick, but that could be just my memory. Re the tick bites, the relief from the itching and irritation was almost instant after application.

A great cure all ointment
My elderly mother has been using the one in the tin which I purchased at pharmacy she finds this ointment heals sores on her skin that have been worrying her for years and just get worse with other ointments. Since she started putting Thars on them they are healing and no longer give her irritating soreness and itching. She is 97 and loves it she says it’s marvellous stuff! Now it’s in the tube she no longer had the problem of not being able to open the tin. Keep making this wonderful old fashioned ointment with such good healing properties.

Thar's ointment
I have been using Thar's ointment for the last 60 years and my mum always had it in the medicine cupboard when we were kids. It is great for cuts, skin infections and also has a drawing action for splinters etc. I wouldn't be without it.

Thars ointment
Always as good as it has been. Preferably I prefer the shoe polish tin.
However Is thars still available in the chemist.
It's a good product. However please make delivery a bit cheaper if you can.

Thank God I found it
We grew up using Thars on everything. Haven't been able to find it anywhere so I'm so glad I looked it up and ordered 3 tunes. Only 2 days of applications and the boil I've been trying to get rid off for over 2 weeks finally reduced
